Congressman Digvijaya Singh, in a veiled reference, searched Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, after former Congressman Rahul Lodhi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In a Hindi tweet, Mr Singh said: “One more MP has been sold to black incomes of Mom (a reference to Shivraj Singh Chouhan). It seems that Mom will fill the BJP with more congressional traitors than BJP workers. I pity those honest BJP workers who helped the party reach this place. Where is Jayant Kumar Malaiya ji? “
Former congressman Rahul Lodhi joined the BJP in the presence of Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister on Sunday in Bhopal. His movement precedes the 28-seat by-elections in the state.
“Member of the Damoh region, Rahul Lodhi resigned from his post which was accepted,” President Rameshwar Sharma tweeted.
“I have been working with Congress for about 14 months but have not been able to work for development. All social protection programs have been cut off in Damoh. Today I joined BJP voluntarily. I am sure Damoh will reach great heights, ”said the MP.
