A serological survey will be conducted across Delhi between June 27 and July 10 and samples from 20,000 people will be tested for COVID-19, the Union’s Home Affairs Ministry (MHA) said on Sunday.

This was decided at the meeting chaired by the Minister of the Interior, Amit Shah, which was attended by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, the Minister of Health, Dr Harsh Vardhan, LG Anil Baijal and d other senior officials. During the meeting, discussion took place on the report of Dr Paul’s Committee on the COVID-19 containment strategy in Delhi.

“The main points of the containment strategy set by Dr Paul are as follows: renewed delimitation of containment areas, strict surveillance and control of boundaries, activities within them, monitoring of contacts of all infected persons and quarantine of contacts, including the use of the Arogya Setu app, each home outside containment areas should be listed and monitored, through which Delhi can obtain complete information and positive cases for COVID at keep in a hospital, COVID care center or home isolation. COVID care centers must be managed properly with the help of voluntary organizations / NGOs, “said MHA in an official statement.

The Home Office said that, according to Dr. Paul’s report, each district of Delhi will be connected to a large hospital. Delhi government to plan by June 22, set up district-level teams by June 23, review boundaries of all container areas by June 26, inspect containment areas here on June 30.

“The Delhi government should assess each death. It should indicate how many days before a patient died, he was taken to hospital. If he was isolated, he was brought in at the right time or not,” according to the report.
