New Delhi:

Ranbir Kapoor’s cousin, Armaan Jain, dug a priceless piece of photo back in the Kapoors family album archives and shared it on Instagram with a note full of nostalgia. “Lunches at Devnar Cottage will never be the same again,” wrote Armaan, along with a glimpse of how the traditional Kapoors family lunches in their family cottage at Deembar in Chembur looked like. After Raj Kapoor’s death, his wife Krishna Raj Kapoor (Armaan’s grandmother) continued to live in Devnar Cottage. She died in October 2018, aged 87. Krishna and Raj Kapoor’s daughter, Ritu Nanda (Armaan’s aunt) died in January of this year, a few months before the sudden death of Rishi Kapoor (Armaan’s uncle) in April. In his article, Armaan wrote how things will never be the same without some of those who made his childhood special: “Words are not enough to describe the amount I love and miss you, each of you has a such a distinct place in my Nani Ji, Ritu Masi and Chintu Mama – memories that will last a lifetime! “

In the photo, we see Rishi Kapoor, his wife Neetu Kapoor, their children Ranbir and Riddhima; Rima Jain and her husband Manoj Jain and their children Armaan and Aadar; Rishi Kapoor’s brothers, Randhir and Rajiv; Ritu Nanda and daughter Natasha Nanda; and Krishna Raj Kapoor. Looked:

Another anecdote about Devnar Cottage was shared by Amitabh Bachchan on the day of Rishi Kapoor’s death. In a long eulogy, shared on his blog, Big B explained why he had never visited Rishi Kapoor at the hospital and here are some extracts: “I had seen him at his home, Deonar Cottage, Chembur, a young man energetic, sparkling, mischievous in his eyes Chintu, on those rare moments when I had the privilege of being invited to an evening at Raj ji’s … I never visited him at the hospital, I never never wanted to see distress on his smiling cherub face. But I’m sure, when he left, he must have gone there with a sweet smile. “

Rishi Kapoor died after battling cancer for two years. Riddhima and Ranbir regularly visited Rishi Kapoor in New York, where he underwent cancer treatment for almost a year.
