Congress chief Rahul Gandhi said on Saturday that if the government does not inject money into the economy, “the poor will be decimated, the middle class will be the new poor and the budding capitalists will own the country.”

Gandhi asked the government to immediately provide 10,000 rupees in cash to each poor family and to provide 7,500 rupees a month for the next six months to help them survive the effects of the isolation.
