We will use all Gandhian weapons of democracy peacefully, said Avinash Pande

Congress Secretary-General Avinash Pande said on Monday that many of the 19 rebel MPs, led by ousted chief deputy minister Sachin Pilot, were in contact with party leaders.
Mr Pande, also the party’s state official, said Congress will use all democratic means available to resolve the current political stalemate in the state.
“We will use all the weapons of Gandhian democracy in a peaceful manner,” Pande said at a press conference.
“As Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said if the need arises, he, along with all the representatives of the people, would argue before the president to protect democracy,” Pande said.
He also said that it had never happened in the past 70 years that a government with a majority and wishing to convene a session was stopped by the governor under various pretexts.
