Defending leader of his party in Uttar Pradesh Ajay Kumar Lallu, who was arrested in a case of cheating and counterfeiting, Congress chief Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on Tuesday that he had always beaten for the displaced and marginalized.

In a series of tweets, Priyanka Gandhi accused the Yogi Adityanath government of violating all humanitarian principles.

The Secretary General of Congress has declared that the party will continue to fight for him.

UP Congress spokesperson Ashok Singh said Ajay Kumar Lallu was convicted of helping migrant workers and workers return to the state and putting him in prison was “authoritarian” by from the Yogi Adityanath government.
