Chandigarh:

Haryana’s Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar attacked the opposition in Haryana, accusing them of engaging in caste politics against the BJP’s development plan in the Baroda bypass slated to be held on November 3.

“Other parties are committed to giving caste color to bypolls, but we’ll talk about the development of Baroda; we’ll talk about farmers’ interests; we’ll talk about bringing IMT (Industrial Model Township) to Baroda; we’ll talk about giving youth employment, ”Khattar said in a tweet.

“Now the decision has to be made by the people of Baroda,” Khattar said.

Expressing confidence in winning the bypolls, made necessary by the death of Congressman Shri Krishan Hooda in April, Mr Khattar in another tweet said the by-elections would mark the end of “15 years of congressional maladministration. “.

Mr Khattar said he was confident that people will vote for the BJP based on the development work initiated by his government.

Meanwhile, Kurukshetra MP BJP Nayab Singh Saini said Mr. Khattar and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala will jointly campaign for the bypasses.

They will be looking to vote for BJP candidate and Olympic medalist Yogeshwar Dutt who is locked in a contest with Congress candidate Induraj Narwal and Joginder Singh Malik of the INLD.

“On October 29, the chief minister will campaign in Baroda while on October 30, Dushyant Chautala will do prospectus in the constituency. On October 31, the two will hold joint meetings and discuss programs in five villages,” Mr. . Saini.

He said Yogeshwar Dutt was supported by their alliance partner Jannayak Janta Party and would record a comfortable victory as people vote for development.

“People have decided to vote for the BJP-JJP handset. They will vote for development,” Saini said.

Dushyant Chautala also expressed his confidence in winning the seat. He said supporters of BJP and JJP, the two parties that forged an alliance after the 2019 assembly ballot, will vote for Yogeshwar Dutt. Mr Dutt, who had challenged Baroda’s 2019 Assembly polls as a BJP candidate, lost to Shri Krishan Hooda.

“This time he will get combined votes as an alliance candidate. He will get more than 90,000 votes and record a historic victory in Baroda,” Chautala said.

He said JJP leader and former MP Ajay Singh Chautala would also campaign in Baroda.

With the BJP-JJP having completed a year in office on October 27, Dushyant Chautala hit Congress and the INLD, saying, “When we got together and formed the government with the BJP, they used to say that our government will not last six months. . “

“When we finished six months, they used to say that the government will fall before we have finished a year. But today, as we end one year, I want to tell them that we will not only complete the remaining four years of our tenure, but also take Haryana on a new growth trajectory, ”he said.

He said that over the past year, the BJP-JJP exemption has taken a number of measures for the welfare of the people.

He said the Centre’s agricultural laws would prove beneficial to farmers and the agricultural sector.

Mr. Chautala said the state government will set up warehouses with a capacity of seven lakh metric tons within the next year. These warehouses will be built through panchayats, he said.
