New Delhi:

Author Twinkle Khanna, in his last social media post on Sunday, showed us how to stop trolls like a boss. The author, in his last weekly column, wrote about the boycott which the film of her husband Akshay Kumar Laxmii was confronted on social media and how some trolls shared transformed photos of her, in which they blued her skin and put a big red bindi on her face to make it look like Akshay Kumar’s initial Laxmii posters. Sharing one of the transformed images, Twinkle wrote: “Trolls are so helpful as I was looking for the support image, here it is. Crop rather than repost – you’ll see why in my column today. We tagged this photo with a comment: “Third class person. You’re joking about God. “I’m almost tempted to answer,” God clearly likes a good joke or else it wouldn’t have made you. “By the way, I think I’m going with the new skin tone and the bindi looks like this Diwali like a real blue bomb. “

Akshay Kumar’s film was previously titled Laxmmi Bombbut the directors of the film changed the name of the film after several Hindu outfits reportedly protested the title Laxmmi Bomb, alleging that it hurt religious feelings and was an insult to Goddess Laxmi.

Refer to the boycott against Laxmii, Twinkle wrote this in his last column for the India time: “The trolls searched for the man of the house Laxmmi Bomb and for some weird reason they took pictures of me, turned my skin the same peacock shade as Lord Krishna, added a red bindi, and shared posters called Twinkle Bomb. Honestly, I’m pretty flattered because that nickname came at the right time because, as a middle aged woman, I was starting to think my bombshell days were way behind me. “
