Bypass the results of 58 seats in 11 states today, all eyes on Madhya Pradesh

According to the results of the 2020 elections: In Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia defected from the BJP with 22 MPs.

The vote count in the 58-seat Assembly by-elections in 11 states, including Madhya Pradesh, where Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia’s defection to the BJP earlier this year with 22 MPs led to the fall of the government of Kamal Nath. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan needs eight more MPs for a simple majority. Congress has 87 legislators in the House.

In Uttar Pradesh, the government of Yogi Adityanath – which has a comfortable majority in the Assembly – is running for seven seats – six of which it won in the last election.

In addition, the vote count will take place in eight seats in Gujarat, one seat in Haryana, one seat in Chhattisgarh which was with the Janata congress of Ajit Jogi; two seats in Jharkhand which were occupied by Congress and its ally JMM; and two seats in Karnataka that were with Congress and the JD (S) will also witness the vote count.

Votes will be counted in the northeastern states of Manipur (four seats) and Nagaland, where the bypasses took place at two seats. The vote count will also take place for one seat in Telangana and two seats in Odisha held by the BJD and BJP.

In addition, the vote count would take place for the bypolls at the headquarters of Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha in Bihar, where the results of the Assembly elections will also be released on Tuesday.
