Kolkata:
The West Bengal BJP launched a website on Monday on which people can file complaints about relief supplies after Cyclone Amphan, after protesters alleged large-scale irregularities locally in the affected areas.
BJP State President Dilip Ghosh has said that those denied assistance by the state government should register their complaint at amaderdilipda.in/cyclone-amphan, and will send the list to the Center.
“Every day we see protests across the state for corruption and nepotism in the distribution of aid. I therefore ask the victims to write to me directly on my website or by any other means. And I assure them that I will send the list to the Center so that they can get justice, “he said.
He criticized the Trinamool Congress over the allegations of irregularities, alleging that the ruling party in the state sponsored the corrupt leaders.
“The TMC has started a new drama to kick them out of the party. What does it matter whether you kick them out or not? Those who looted public money should be put behind bars,” said Ghosh.
The state has witnessed protests in several areas of cyclones north and south of Parganas cyclone-hit north and south in recent weeks against local congressional leaders in Trinamool for alleged irregularities in the distribution of relief and financial aid equipment.
Several local TMC leaders have also been expelled from the party for their alleged involvement in corruption.
