Sunny Deol said the linchpin of the tragedy has long been operating in the Batala region.

Pathankot:

On Monday, MP and BJP actor Sunny Deol called for an impartial investigation into the rattle tragedy in Punjab that has left more than 100 people dead.

In a letter to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, Deol called the state government-ordered masterly investigation into the incident “just eye drops.”

“Everyone in the country is saddened and concerned about the tragedy that claimed more than 100 lives in Punjab,” Deol said in the letter.

The MP for Gurdaspur said the incident reflected the “utter failure of the intelligence services” of law enforcement to collect information on the ongoing bogus alcohol trade, allegedly in collusion with some officials and “under the shelter of certain powerful politicians of the ruling party”.

The death toll in the Punjab penis tragedy has risen to 110 and six more people have been declared dead, officials said.

Citing media reports, Deol said the linchpin of the tragedy has long been operating in the Batala region.

“It is difficult to understand that it was operating without the knowledge and blessing of the district administration or the shelter of powerful politicians,” Deol said.

“It also indicates that law enforcement agencies and the district administration in collusion with politicians are working hand in hand with each other, presumably to reap monetary gains, while playing with life. innocent citizens, ”he said.

Ordering a masterful investigation will be “eye drops” and will serve no purpose unless a full-fledged “free, fair and impartial” investigation is carried out, those responsible and culprits are registered and rigorous measures are taken to against them, Mr Deol said.
