Bhopal:
After Bihar, the ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh promised a free coronavirus vaccine to every resident of the state in its manifesto for the November 3 assembly by-elections.
The party on Wednesday issued a separate “Sankalp Patra” or manifesto for each of the 28 electoral districts subject to the ballot.
“Most of the time, local issues have been included in every manifesto,” MP BJP spokesman Rajneesh Agrawal said.
But the free COVID-19 vaccine and restarting programs closed by the previous congressional government are joint promises, he said.
“Regarding free vaccination, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has already announced it,” he said.
The BJP’s promise to vaccinate for free in Bihar had drawn criticism from opposition parties.
Congress mocked the promise of a free vaccine in Madhya Pradesh.
“The BJP should vaccinate people ahead of the Nov. 3 poll. Where is the vaccine for COVID-19? The BJP sells dreams to people and tries to mislead them,” Congress spokesman Bhupendra said. Gupta.
The announcement by Mr. Chouhan of a direct transfer of benefits (DBT) of Rs 4,000 to beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is also mentioned in the list of promises of the BJP.
Twenty-two congressional deputies, mostly loyalists of Jyotiraditya Scindia, resigned in March, which led to the collapse of the congressional government as a deputy. Three lawmakers resigned and joined the BJP later, while three other seats became vacant due to the deaths of incumbent lawmakers.
