Coronavirus India: the country’s recovery rate was 48.36% this morning.

India has 2,466,628 cases of coronavirus, data from the Union’s Ministry of Health showed this morning, crossing the COVID-19 count from Spain. India is now ranked fifth in the world in terms of coronavirus cases, after the United States, Brazil, Russia and the United Kingdom. The total number of cases in the country includes 6,929 people who died from the highly contagious infection. With the increase in coronavirus cases, the director of the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Dr. Randeep Guleria, said that coronavirus cases in India could peak in two to three months, but he has argued that there was no community transmission at the national level.

  1. Maharashtra tops the ranking in terms of the total number of confirmed cases, active cases, recoveries and deaths. With 2,739 new cases in the state in the past 24 hours, the number of virus cases in Maharashtra has reached 82,968. The third phase of the “Mission Begin”, relaxing restrictions in Maharashtra, will begin tomorrow. However, religious places and restaurants in the state will not open from tomorrow.

Detailed rules have also been published for offices that have been allowed to reopen in recent weeks. However, all establishments that fall under containment zones will remain closed, as previously announced.

  8. The coronavirus pandemic has killed 749 people in the United States in the past 24 hours, according to figures released Saturday by Johns Hopkins University. The latest deaths bring the total in the United States to 1,09,791, and there have been more than 1.9 million cases, according to a real-time count from the University of Baltimore.

  9. Globally, 68.91,219 people have been infected with the highly contagious virus.

  10. The new coronavirus first appeared in December in the central city of Wuhan, China.
