Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who played with Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Chaubey’s 2019 film Sonchiriya, paid tribute to the actor in his Instagram post on Monday, a day after Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai residence. Sharing a photo of herself and Mr. Rajput relaxing on Sonchiriya’s backdrops, Bhumi remembered his “endless conversations” with the actor and expressed his pain and shock with these words: “Rest in peace, my friend … Shocked and heartbroken … I still can’t believe it … To observe the stars and our endless conversations … I’ll see you twinkle with the rest because you are and always will be a star, my dear Sushant Singh Rajput. “
Sonchiriya is undoubtedly one of the best films of Sushant Singh Rajput. He co-starred with Ranvir Shorey, Manoj Bajpayee and Ashutosh Rana in the film set in the dusty and harsh ravines of Chambal in the 1970s. Sushant and others in Sonchiriya played the role of dacoits, who fight each other while facing the cops. The film was critically acclaimed for its screenplay and for the cast’s performances.
