Former President Barack Obama said on Friday that he shared “the anguish” of millions of Americans over the death of a black man killed by police in Minnesota and that racism could not be “normal” to United States.
“It shouldn’t be” normal “in 2020 in America,” Obama said of the death of George Floyd, a man from Minneapolis, and several other recent racial incidents in the country.
“This cannot be” normal, “said the first African American president of the United States in a statement.
