Ahead of the Ayodhya Ram temple event, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said today that building the temple under the prime minister’s leadership is sure to bring good fortune and urged people lighting earthen lamps the day before and the day of the dedication ceremony. .
“I am convinced that with the construction of #RamTemple, Ram Rajya will come to the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. I call on everyone to light earth lamps in their homes on the nights of August 4 and 5 to express our happiness (sic), ”tweeted Mr. Chouhan, one of the four ministers from Madhya Pradesh who were admitted to a hospital. after contracting the coronavirus.
Prime Minister Modi is expected to lay the foundation stone for the temple of Ram on Wednesday in a grand ceremony attended by several dignitaries and at least 200 priests.
Amid the outbreak, the event raised health and safety concerns, as a priest and 14 police officers on duty at the Ram Janambhoomi complex in Ayodhya tested positive for the coronavirus. Some dignitaries invited to the event, including Interior Minister Amit Shah, have also tested positive for the virus in recent days.
However, the temple trust said the program will proceed as planned, maintaining all safety regulations for the coronavirus. Currently, Uttar Pradesh has 38,023 active cases of the coronavirus.
The proposed temple is expected to do almost double what was originally planned.
In November last year, the Supreme Court cleared the way for the construction of the Temple of Ram at the disputed Ayodhya site, and ordered the Center to allocate an alternative five-acre plot to the Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of a new mosque in a “prominent” location in the holy city of Uttar Pradesh.
