Senior official Arun Singhal has been appointed director general of the FSSAI (Indian Food Safety and Standards Authority) as part of a high-level bureaucratic reshuffle carried out by the Center on Friday.
Mr. Singhal, an officer of the IAS in 1987 as part of Uttar Pradesh, is currently the Special Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
S Gopalakrishnan, an IAS officer in 1991 from the Tamil Nadu cadre, was appointed additional secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). He currently holds the position of additional secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Rajendra Kumar, who was recently appointed general manager of the State Employees Insurance Corporation (ESIC), will now be an additional secretary in the IT ministry in place of Mr. Gopalakrishnan, said an order from the ministry. Staff.
Bihar-cadre IAS officer C Sridhar, currently deputy director of the National Academy of Administration of Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, has been appointed deputy secretary of the CPM.
Meera Mohanty, Director of the Cabinet Secretariat, was transferred to the PMO under the same designation. Smita Sarangi, Assistant Secretary, Personnel and Training Department, was transferred to the Cabinet Secretariat under the same designation.
Subir Mallick, additional financial advisor and co-secretary at the Ministry of Defense (Finance), will continue in the same department at the level of additional secretary.
The central government appointed 16 joint secretaries in its various departments during the reshuffle.
Manish Tiwari has been appointed co-secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; Alaknanda Dayal will be JS, Department of Agriculture, Farmers’ Cooperation and Welfare; Pallavi Agarwal has been appointed secretary member of the National Monuments Authority of the Ministry of Culture; and Surendra Prasad Yadav will be co-secretary of the Defense Production Department.
Senior official Ghanshyam Prasad will be co-secretary of the Ministry of Power and Himabindu Mudumbai will be co-secretary of the Ministry of Revenue, according to the ordinance.
V Radha and Ateesh Kumar Singh have been appointed co-secretaries respectively to the Department of Industry Promotion and Internal Trade and to the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Vijay Kumar Singh has been appointed a member (Finance) of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
Anupam Mishra has been appointed joint secretary, Office of Development Monitoring and Evaluation (DMEO), NITI Aayog, Vinod Kotwal will be member secretary, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), and Vipin Kumarhas has been appointed assistant secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy.
Sunil Kumar has been appointed co-secretary of the Department of Science and Technology and R Jaya will be co-secretary of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Roop Rashi has been appointed textile commissioner of Mumbal under the Ministry of Textiles.
