Kaun Banega Crorepati is back with its 12th season, as is host Amitabh Bachchan. Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 premiered on Monday with Amitabh Bachchan setting the mood for match night fair with his son Abhishek cheering him on on social media. Hours before the big premiere, Abhishek tweeted: “9 baj gaye kya? I look forward. Amitabh Bachchan started the show with a poem, which emphasizes the importance of Wapas Aana Padhta HaiBola Bachchan, “Abhishek wrote for Big B. Bearing in mind the standards of social distancing, as a precautionary measure during the time of the coronavirus pandemic, Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 adopted new rules and regulations – only eight competitors can now take part in the Fastest Finger first round. The lifeline “Audience Poll” has been changed to “Video A Friend” as there is no live audience this season. Secretary of the Department of External Affairs, Vikas Swarup, joined the show as an expert on the “ Extract Advice ” lifeline.

Aarti Jagtap, 20, an engineering student from Bhopal, became the first candidate to join Amitabh Bachchan in the hot seat. Mr Bachchan, who still chats with the candidates, became emotional after learning how the candidate’s family had struggled financially during the lockdown period. He praised Aarti Jagtap for continuing his education even under difficult conditions at home. Aarti Jagtap left the show with a cash prize of Rs 6.4 lakh. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan was sharper than ever, reminding us once again, no one hosts KBC better than the megastar.

The second contestant who joined Mr. Bachchan on the episode was Sonu Kumar Gupta, a service technician from Uttar Pradesh. He confidently addressed all issues in the first phase of the match. He will continue to play the game in Tuesday’s episode.
