Amitabh Bachchan’s return match is getting stronger day by day. The 77-year-old actor posted another photo back on his Instagram profile on Thursday and took us back in time. In an atmosphere of then vs now, Amitabh Bachchan shared a collage of images of himself from his 1976 film Kabhie Kabhie, and an extract of his look from his next film Gulabo Sitabo. Sharing the picture, Big B wrote about the evergreen song Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein of Kabhie Kabhie. “Srinagar, Kashmir .. Kabhie Kabhie.. write the verse of the song Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein Khayaal Aata Hai“, he writes. Referring to his next film Gulabo Sitabo, Big B added, “Lucknow, May. 44 years later (1976 to 2020), Gulabo Sitabo and play songs Ban Ke Madaari Ka Bandar. Kya aur kya bana diya aab.” Looked:

Directed by Yash Chopra, Kabhie Kabhie traces the life of Amit Malhotra, played by Amitabh Bachchan, and Pooja Khanna, played by Raakhee Gulzar, who fall in love. But, Pooja married Vijay Khanna, played by Shashi Kapoor, while Amit married Anju Malhotra, played by Waheeda Rehman. Years later, when Pooja and Vijay’s son falls in love with Anjali’s daughter, it unites the old flames as friends. Produced by Yash Chopra, the film received several prizes and distinctions, after its release in 1976. Sahir Ludhianvi received the Filmfare Award for best lyricist for Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein. Kabhie Kabhie also played Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, the upcoming release of Amitabh Bachchan, Gulabo Sitabo, stars Big B as Mirza, a grumpy landlord, and Ayushmann Khurrana as Baankey, a stubborn tenant, who engage in clashes regarding their daily activities. Take a look at the trailer here:

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Gulabo Sitabo marks Ayushmann’s first collaboration with Big B. Gulabo Sitabo, Shoojit Sircar had worked with Big B in films such as Shoebite, Piku and Pink.
