Union Home Secretary and BJP leader Amit Shah will pay a two-day visit to West Bengal from November 5 to take stock of party organizational issues ahead of the elections. 2021 assembly, party sources said Friday evening.

In a late-night development, BJP West Bengal general secretary Sayantan Basu said BJP national president JP Nadda’s scheduled visit from November 6 was canceled.

“JP Nadda Ji’s visit is canceled for the time being. It has been decided that Amit Shah ji will be in West Bengal for a two-day visit from November 5,” he said.

“He is likely to visit the organizational district of Medinipur on November 5 and the next day he will meet with party leaders in the state. The schedule has not yet been finalized,” Basu said Friday evening.
