Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s film Laxmii is set to hit Disney + Hotstar Monday night. Ahead of the film’s release, the directors hosted a special premiere on Sunday, footage from which the main cast shared on their respective social media accounts. In addition to the film’s lead cast, producers Tusshar Kapoor and Shabina Khan, as well as transgender rights activist and veteran Bharatanatyam dancer Laxmi Narayan Tripathi were also present at the film’s premiere. Sharing a photo with his co-star on Instagram, Akshay Kumar wrote: “All black for the red carpet of Laxmii. “

Kiara Advani also shared photos on her username on social media. She wrote in her post: “Walking the red carpet for the premiere of Laxmii with great gratitude, joy and butterflies in my stomach. The horror comedy is a remake of the 2011 Tamil movie Kanchana and it was directed by Raghava Lawrence, who also directed the original. Laxmii is slated for release November 9 on Disney + Hotstar. The film will also be released in Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates in theaters, while it premieres on Hotstar in the US, UK, and Canada.
