Akhilesh Yadav said India supports government against Chinese incursions (File)

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav said on Saturday that the nation stood by the government against the Chinese incursions, but that the people should be informed of the clash in the Galwan valley, where 20 Indian soldiers died for the country.
In a tweet, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh said, “The nation supports the government against Chinese incursions. But was the incident in which our soldiers were martyred an incursion? If not, why did the MEA request the status quo ante, Galwan Valley Indian or not? “
“We don’t need clarifications. We need the truth,” he said.
20 members of the Indian army, including a colonel, died for India in a clash with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley, eastern Ladakh, Monday evening, the largest military confrontation in addition of five decades which has considerably aggravated the already unstable border impasse in the region.
In a Hindi tweet released earlier today, Yadav said, “Confused by Prime Minister ji’s statement on the India-China LAC, people are asking if China has entered our territory, so Under what circumstances did our soldiers die? Is China dying? given a clean chit? “
