New Delhi:
One day later Yash Chopra birthday, actress Preity Zinta recalled her memories of him, revealing in a post that the filmmaker had never called her “ Preity ” after their 2004 film Veer-Zaara. Mr. Chopra, founder of Yash Raj Films and father of Aditya and Uday Chopra, would have turned 88 on Sunday. He died in 2012 a few weeks after his 80th birthday. Preity, who was directed by Yash Chopra in the Cross-Border Tale Veer-Zaara, wrote in a post that he was his favorite director and that he had the “biggest and the youngest heart”. Veer-Zaara co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji.
In his post, Preity Zinta wrote: “Remembering Yash Uncle – My favorite manager, a man who had the biggest and the youngest heart. He spoiled me with food, love and his stories wonderful. After working with him for Veer zaara he never called me Preity again. It was still Zaara. Yash Uncle, you will live forever in my heart and in millions of hearts. Thank you for enriching our lives by providing us with such beautiful, meaningful and memorable cinema. I love you.”
Preity Zinta also starred in films produced by Yash Raj Salaam Namaste and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Read his post here:

Yash Chopra’s best-known work as a director includes Waqt, Daag, Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni, Lamhe and Dil To Pagal Hai. Veer-Zaara and 2014 Jab Tak Hai Jaan were the last two films he made. 1973 Daag was also the first film produced by Mr. Chopra – among his extensive filmography as a producer is the iconic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, directed by Aditya, the son of Yash Chopra.
