Shopian:
Five terrorists were killed in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir during a meeting with the security forces during a joint operation.
“Five terrorists were eliminated during Operation Reban in Shopian,” said defense spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia.
He said that good exercises ensured that no collateral damage occurred during the operation.
A police official said that security forces launched a cordon and search operation this morning in the Reban district of Shopian, South Kashmir, after receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
He said the search operation turned into an encounter after terrorists fired on an armed force search group, which retaliated.
