July 7 will always be special for Boney Kapoor, who produced MOM – the last film of his late wife Sridevi. Today, MOM timed three years, provoking an emotional tweet from Boney Kapoor, who wrote Sridevi’s brilliant performance is what made MOM a memorable film of all time. Sridevi’s MOM hit the screens and impressed audiences and critics died in July 2017 and almost a year after his tragic death shocked the film’s fraternity. “As time goes by … it’s been three years since the release of MOM. For his performance in MOM, Sridevi was posthumously honored with the national award for best actress in 2018 – her first national award. Sridevi, who is often considered the “first female Bollywood superstar,” starred in 300 films in a career spanning five decades. Sridevi’s last screen appearance was that of Shah Rukh Khan Zero – his portions were slaughtered before his death.
Sridevi’s eldest daughter Janhvi Kapoor is an actress, who debuted with Dhadak in July 2018 and is also known for her performance in Netflix Ghost stories. Janhvi’s sister Khushi is pursuing higher education. On the anniversary of Sridevi’s death this year, Janhvi Kapoor wrote: “I miss you everyday.” Janhvi often shares memories of Sridevi, reminding us of his mother’s legacy.
