Like Madhuri Dixit’s 1991 film Saajan With 29 years old on Sunday, the actress shared a memory of the film by posting a throwback photo to her Instagram profile. The photo above shows Madhuri Dixit with her Saajan co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan. Adding the hashtag # 29YearsOfSaajan, the actress shared the reasons why she said yes to the project. “After reading the script for this film, I immediately decided to be a part of it. The story was romantic, the dialogue was poetic and the music was brilliant,” the actress wrote in her post. In the film, Sanjay Dutt played an orphan who befriended the wealthy Salman Khan as a child. Growing up, Sanjay Dutt emerges as a popular poet as Sagar, while Madhuri Dixit played the role of one of his fans. Madhuri’s taste for the poet and Salman coming into the frame led to a love triangle.

Directed by Lawrence D’Souza, Saajan was the highest grossing Bollywood film of 1991. Songs from the film such as Dekha Hai Pehli Baar, Tum Se Milne Ki Tamanna Hai, Bahut Pyar Karte Hain, Tu Shayar Hai, Jiye To Jiye Kaise, were also adept at impressing audiences and remain popular to this day.

Madhuri Dixit Will soon debut in the digital world with the upcoming Netflix series, which will be produced by Karan Johar. The actress previously collaborated with Netflix for a Marathi drama titled August 15th, which was his first project as a producer.
