Yogi Adityanath was seen in the temple of Gorakhnath with a mask on

Gorakhpur:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the reopening of places of worship today by visiting the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur this morning as religious places reopened today after more than two months of closure coronaviruses.

The chief minister, who has also been the chief priest of the famous temple since 2014, was seen walking inside the temple premises with a mask, photos from the ANI news agency.

With standards of social distancing in place, many temples across the state have reopened, but most of the temples of Mathura and Moradabad remain closed. The temporary Ayodhya Ram Mandir has also reopened for the faithful.

Another temple that has reopened in Ayodhya is the famous Hanuman Gadhi temple which sees thousands of thousands of thousands of thousands of thousands of thousands of people every year. The temple was sanitized on Sunday and social distancing circles were also marked on the ground.

Gorakhnath temple saw worshipers early in the morning. Disinfectants and heat screening are mandatory before people enter temple premises.

“In accordance with government orders, the temple opened its doors today. We will follow all precautionary measures for COVID-19,” Yogi Dharmendra Nath, priest of the temple in Gorakhnath, told ANI.

In recent days, India has seen an increase in cases of coronavirus, although from today places of worship, malls and restaurants have reopened under “Unlock 1” – the first in the plan in three phases for the reopening of prohibited activities in non-containment areas with strict rules. Uttar Pradesh is the sixth most affected state in the country with more than 10,000 cases.
