Yogi Adityanath asked officials to log in through virtual ICUs.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday ordered officials to connect medical facilities through virtual intensive care units as adoption of the technology-based system would allow treatment of more seriously ill patients by qualified and experienced doctors.

He also asked to keep ventilators / HFNC (high flow nasal cannula) operational in all districts.

The Chief Minister was reviewing the unlocking system at a high-level meeting held at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow today.

“In districts where an average of 100 or more COVID-19 cases have been recorded each day over the past week, an effective strategy should be adopted to control the infection in those districts,” Adityanath said.

He said the chief secretary, the additional chief secretary – Home, the additional chief secretary – Health, the additional chief secretary – medical education, including medical experts, should be finalized after intensive consultation by experts medical.

Nodal officers should be appointed in these districts. Each nodal officer will be accompanied by a special secretary-level officer.

The CM demanded that an effective ban on the spread of the coronavirus should be made by carrying out maximum contact tracing.

“Special attention should be paid to medical tests targeting high risk groups. One third of a daily test for COVID-19 is done by RTPCR and the remaining tests should be done by rapid antigen test,” a- he declared.

He also called for an increase in the number of beds in L-2 and L-3 COVID-19 hospitals.

The Uttar Pradesh CM said enforcement proceedings relating to social distancing and the use of masks should be carried out with full activity.

“Micro-content zones should be established as needed. It should be ensured that the public address system remains fully active and that these people should be made aware of the safety of COVID-19 and road safety,” he said. he adds.

The chief minister said adequate and harmonious arrangements should be maintained for coronavirus-related treatment, test kits and materials used in defense such as masks, gloves, PPE kits and disinfectants etc.

By assessing the situation by the health ministry, all arrangements should be made in time to meet the needs of the coming period, the chief minister said.

“Bearing in mind the upcoming festivals, people should be specially sensitized to protect themselves from COVID-19. Festivals should be celebrated at home,” the chief minister said.

The Chief Minister has instructed to regularly review the progress of the Smart City program and the Amrit program.

“Measures must be taken in a planned manner to take full advantage of the special economic package announced by the Prime Minister,” he added.
