Family members carried a woman on a cradle suspended from a bamboo stick with ropes to reach a hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Anuppur district on August 10 in the absence of paved roads connecting the village to the hospital .
Speaking to ANI, Som Lal Yadav said, “My mother has heart disease. We are from Dongra Panchayat. There are no roads here and it becomes difficult to travel especially in the rainy season. Administration officials also came and gave assurances that a road would be built, but the problem was not resolved. “
“Our house is about 2 km from the main road. Seeing my mum sick, I decided to call an ambulance, but they said it would take two hours to reach her, so we decided to take her to the hospital ourselves. Our bike is there. the main road, ”Yadav said.
“There is also a problem of lack of electricity,” he said.
The sick woman’s husband, Hem Lal, said: “Since there are no roads, my family had to carry my wife for more than three kilometers. We are facing a big problem due to the lack of roads here. Politicians and administrative officials came but nothing was done.
Panchayat General Manager Imran Siddiqi said, “I learned about it in the morning. So the collector asked me to go and see and make the arrangements that work best for the people.
“Now we will solve their problem with our technical agents and engineers,” he said.
