Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wanted students to show up for the NEET entrance medical exam on Sunday, while expressing sympathies to those who were unable to attend due to the COVID-19 pandemic and flooding.

Rahul Gandhi and his party in Congress have called for the postponement of the NEET and JEE exams, saying the situation was not conducive to holding such exams due to the pandemic. He also said that taking the exams at such a time was life threatening.
More than 15 lakh candidates are likely to appear on Sunday in NEET, which will take place amid strict precautions in view of the COVID1-9 pandemic.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is leading the review, said in order to maintain social distancing, it had increased the number of exam centers from the initially planned 2,546 to 3,843, while the number of applicants per room has been reduced compared to the beginning. 24 to 12.
The Crucial National Eligibility Test (NEET), which is a paper and pen test unlike the JEE engineering entrance exam, has already been postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The exam was originally scheduled for May 3, but was pushed back to July 26 and then September 13.
A total of 15.97 lakh candidates registered for the exam.
