Lucknow:
Richa Dubey, wife of the late gangster Vikas Dubey, said her husband was anxious and had been on treatment for three to four years.
Speaking to ANI, when asked why Vikas Dubey killed police officers during the Kanpur meeting, Richa replied: “I already said that I had no knowledge about this. If I was there, I would have tried to stop him. I could have stopped. the incident as I had the ability to stop Vikas but I cannot say what God’s wish was, what I can say is that Vikas was an anxious patient and I facilitated his treatment during the last three to four years, I have the reports. I think Vikas had the anxiety attack and that’s why he made a mistake. “
“Vikas called me and told me there was shooting going on in the village and you should get away from the house with the children.” So I left immediately, ”she said of the incident.
“We went to a complex near the Pheonix shopping center and there, on the terrace, we spent seven days,” she continued.
When asked if her husband had told her about the murder of eight police officers, she replied, “He never told me anything about the incident, he only asked me to leave with the children. Several times, I heard that there had been cases of shooting. in the village or a fight, then I thought it was something normal. “
“In the morning when I watched TV I was scared and there was nothing I could do after being scared,” she said.
She added: “I want to raise my children so that I can, that’s why we didn’t stay with Vikas. In our society, the child of a thief becomes a thief and the child of a doctor becomes a doctor. So I want to make sure my kids grow up to good people. “
“The last time I went to Vikas Dubey’s was five years ago on June 19 for just two days. With his family, I have normal relationships like everyone else has with in-laws.” , she added.
Asked about the police action, she said: “I have full confidence in the justice system, the government and the chief minister of state. What they do will be in my interest ”.
