London:
Britain must defend the people of Hong Kong, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Friday.
“We must defend our friends in Hong Kong, we must defend their freedoms for the right of association with freedom of expression,” he said on LBC radio.
“We made a commitment in 1984 to take care of them … to make sure we support them, and we will.”
