So far, about 500 Delhi police personnel have been infected with the virus and 200 have recovered, the PTI news agency said.
Delhi now has more than 34,000 cases of coronavirus, more than 12,700 have recovered and 1,085 people have died.
On June 9, a 59-year-old sub-inspector died and earlier a constable and two assistant sub-inspectors who had other health problems also died from the virus.
As COVID-19 cases rise sharply in the city, the Delhi government released a new set of standard operating procedures on Thursday asking older workers and pregnant women to stay away from front-line work not be exposed to infection.
The government also said that visitor passes should be suspended while keeping office buildings and vehicles sanitized to prevent the spread of the virus.
