Wait, there’s when a genius like Shakuntala Devi is your teacher and that’s what the song Skip Nahi Toh Fail Nahi extract from Vidya Balan’s next film Shakuntala Devi is all about. Vidya Balan, who plays the lead role, walks into a drab classroom filled with children. However, things take a magical turn when she begins teaching kids in a fun way by singing and dancing, effortlessly. The song Skip Nahi Toh Fail Nahi highlights the playful spirit of Shakuntala Devi, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and composed by the duo Sachin – Jigar, Paas Nahi Toh Fail Nahi is the first track to come out of the film. The lyrics are from Vayu and the song is full of energy.

Shakuntala Devi It was previously scheduled to release on May 8, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, manufacturers have decided to create it on an OTT platform. The film is now slated for release July 31 on Amazon Prime Video. This is the first major film to release direct on Amazon Prime Video, after Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo, with Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana.

The film, directed by Anu Menon, presents the journey of Shakuntala Devi and her genius, first discovered at the age of 5, when she solved a math problem for 18-year-old students. She later secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. In addition to being a mathematician, Shakuntala Devi was an astrologer, cookbook author and novelist. Sanya Malhotra plays the role of her daughter in the film.
