Varun Dhawan on Tuesday shared some photos from 1920 while the world was fighting the Spanish flu, and they bear a striking similarity to the situation the world is currently going through due to the coronavirus pandemic. The photos show the precautions taken by people in closed cinemas against Spanish flu, warning signs against spitting in public and people wearing masks. Varun shared the pictures and wrote: “1920 and 2020. The world has already experienced this.” Urging fans to help front-line coronavirus workers, Varun added, “We have to help our doctors, police and front-line warriors.” He also shared data from the United Nations which indicates that the population of India represents 17.7% of the total world population, and wrote: “We must all assume our responsibilities”. Varun Dhawan has actively disseminated awareness about the coronavirus on his social media profiles. A few weeks ago, Varun committed to providing meals to health professionals and the disadvantaged. He shared a statement on Instagram, an excerpt of which said, “With every day that goes by being locked up at home, my heart goes out to everyone who has no home during this time of crisis.
