Nainital:
The Uttarakhand High Court suspended the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Uttarakashi for indecent behavior while intoxicated and damage to government property.
The stay, which was ordered on Sunday, was ordered by the High Court clerk on the recommendation of acting chief justice Ravi Malimath.
The action came after district collectorate staff filed a drunken and indecent behavior complaint against CJM Neeraj Kumar.
Mr Kumar allegedly caused a ruckus at the collectorate premises last Friday while intoxicated and damaged his own official vehicle, in addition to those of the Dunda Subdivision Magistrate and the Bhatwari Tax Officer.
