The Uttarakhand government will not use Chinese products, said the chief minister.

Dehradun:

The Uttarakhand government will not use any Chinese equipment or devices, Chief Minister of State Trivendra Singh Rawat said on Thursday.

The Uttarakhand government decided early on that it would not use Chinese products, equipment or devices, Rawat told reporters.

Even people have started using Indian apps and products in large numbers in the country, said Rawat, while welcoming the Centre’s decision to ban 59 Chinese apps, including Tik Tok.

He said that as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign to make India an autonomous nation, the country is quickly restoring its modern identity, even under the adverse circumstances of COVID-19.

He said the crore package of 20 lakh rupees announced by Prime Minister Modi as part of the Atma-Nirbhar Bharat campaign (an independent India) has already started showing results within a month and a half after his declaration.

The Prime Minister said that Prime Minister Modis’ call to “make the voice of the people of the country heard and to make it global” has won the support of citizens across the country.
