Announcing that Uttar Pradesh has secured the country’s second position in the “Ease of Doing Business” category, the Chief Minister said it was the result of the state government’s sustained efforts over the past three years. years.

The Chief Minister was chairing a meeting of the High Level Committee on the Powers of “ Invest UP ”, formerly known as “ Udyog Bandhu ”, which was also attended by Minister of State Cabinet Siddharth Nath Singh, UP Commissioner for Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Alok Tandon and others.

Yogi Adityanath called on industrialists, entrepreneurs and investors to come to the state to invest saying that “now Uttar Pradesh is the idea whose time has come”.

He said his government has come a long way in transforming the state into an investor-friendly and industrialization-friendly place with proactive measures firmly in place.

“The state has strived to develop the infrastructure in terms of electricity, road, communication, transport in addition to a strong law and order to such an extent that it is now on the way to unleash his cherished dream of achieving trillion dollar economy status in the country. while contributing to the country’s economic goal of five trillion dollars set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ”said Yogi Adityanath.

According to an official press release, on the memoranda of understanding (MoU) worth Rs 4.28 lakh crore, signed during the “ Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit -2018 ”, MoUs worth Rs 2 lakh crores have already arrived on the ground.

“On top of that, the government of Uttar Pradesh has received over 50 investment proposals worth over Rs 7,000 crore from investors in around ten countries including Japan, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and South Korea who wish to move their units from there to Uttar Pradesh, ”the statement read.

Yogi Adityanath said that defense, aerospace, warehousing, data centers, electric vehicles and the pharmaceutical sector are some of the emerging investment centers in Uttar Pradesh.

“The state government’s ambitious defense corridor project has potentially promised an investment of Rs 50,000 crore in the next two years and offers a good investment opportunity,” he said while adding that the policy MSME’s review and start-up policy have already given impetus to the state’s potential growth, ”the statement said.

He said traditional fields such as electronics, IT, food processing, dairy, textiles, tourism and films are still the preferred investment destination, while solar power, biofuels and civil aviation join them as potential investment poles.

Speaking about infrastructure development, Yogi Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh is going to have a huge network of highways that will crisscross the country.

“A 340 km long Purvanchal expressway connecting Lucknow to Ghazipur, a 290 km long Bundelkhand expressway connecting Chitrakoot to the Lucknow-Agra highway, a 90 km Gorakhpur expressway and a 170 km Prayagraj expressway. decided to build a 600 km long Ganga highway from Prayagraj to the National Capital Region via Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Kannauj and Meerut.
