US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo demanded on Monday that China end the so-called forced sterilization of Uighur women after a report on a campaign against the predominantly Muslim minority.
“We call on the Chinese Communist Party to immediately end these horrific practices and ask all nations to join the United States to demand an end to these dehumanizing abuses,” said Pompeo in a statement.
