New York:
The American prosecutor investigating the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein said that she would welcome the testimony of British prince Andrew following the arrest Thursday of the socialist Ghislaine Maxwell.
“We would like to benefit from his statement,” said Audrey Strauss, the United States’ acting lawyer for the Southern District of New York, referring to the second son of Queen Elizabeth II.
His office accused the British king of not cooperating in their investigation of his former friend Epstein and the accomplices of the deceased financier, an allegation which the prince denies.
Maxwell was arrested Thursday morning by FBI agents in New Hampshire and charged with child sex trafficking for his ex-boyfriend Epstein, who committed suicide in prison last year while awaiting trial.
