The US Department of Commerce said on Saturday that it was delaying until at least September 27 the ban on downloading the popular TikTok video-sharing app in the United States, which was due to go into effect Sunday.
The move was made “in light of recent positive developments,” according to a press release issued shortly after Chinese company TikTok confirmed a proposed deal to manage its operations in the United States involving Oracle in as a technology partner and Walmart as a business partner.
