Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and nine others were elected unopposed Monday in the Rajya Sabha of Uttar Pradesh.
Eight of them belonged to the BJP while one each belonged to the Samajwadi Party and the BSP.
Ten candidates were declared elected in Rajya Sabha and also received their certificates, said deputy returning officer Mohd Mushahid.
Besides Mr. Puri, elected officials to the upper house of parliament are Neeraj Shekhar, Arun Singh, Geeta Shakya, Haridwar Dubey, Brijlal, B L Varma and Seema Dwivedi of BJP; Ram Gopal Yadav of the Samajwadi Party; and Ramji Gautam of BSP, he added.
