Yoga practitioners are less likely to be infected with a coronavirus, Union Minister AYUSH Shripad Naik said on Sunday.
Speaking to PTI on International Yoga Day, Mr. Naik also said that the spread of yoga across the country and the world under the regime led by Narendra Modi has helped fight COVID-19.
“I am sure that the spread of yoga across the country and the world during the tenure of the Modi-led government has greatly helped to combat COVID-19. Those who practice yoga are less likely to be infected with COVID- 19, “said the Minister.
The head of the BJP, who practiced yoga at his home in the village of Ribandar near Panaji in the district of North Goa, said that yoga strengthens immunity and strengthens the respiratory system, which helps build resistance against diseases like COVID-19.
Naik said the function of International Yoga Day, to be held on Sunday in Leh, was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which made social distancing a necessity.
People have been advised to practice yoga while staying at home, said Lok Sabha of North Goa.
“We have received a great response. People have participated by practicing yoga at home. We have recommended that there should not be more than 20 people if they practice yoga in a public place,” he said. -he declares.

State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said yoga is known to improve mental and physical health.
“This year, the goal is to practice yoga at home to instill healthier habits. This #InternationalYogaDay is committed to taking at least an hour for yoga every day,” he tweeted.
