Twinkle Khanna, who is currently staying in London with her husband, actor Akshay Kumar, and their children, came out to watch Christopher Nolan’s new movie Principlein a theater this week. In a tweet on Wednesday, Twinkle praised his mother Dimple Kapadia, who plays a central role in Principle, with John David Washington in the lead role. Sharing a note for his mother and her performance in the film, Twinkle wrote: “Finally seen Principle in the theater and although my mom is so laid back that she refuses to advertise around her, she has a wonderful role and is completely amazing. Twinkle also shared a photo from the movie – with Dimple Kapadia and John David Washington – which she clicked in the theater and cited a Variety review of Principle.

Principle, which also includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh, open in select cinemas in 70 countries including UK, Germany, Italy, Japan and Russia on August 26. Two days after the film’s release, Twinkle Khanna shared a video featuring some scenes from the movie, as well as a few BTS shots, in which Christopher Nolan can be seen working with Dimple Kapadia and other actors. She wrote: “East or West, Dimple is the best. I never thought I would riff a song by Anu Malik but this one had to be done. #Tenet #ProudDaughter #behindthescenes.”
Principle is a high-octane action spy drama and has been filmed extensively in seven countries, including India. It is one of the first big budget films to hit theaters after theaters reopened amid the coronavirus pandemic.
