President Donald Trump said on Monday that the Chinese-owned TikTok video-sharing app would be “bankrupt” in the United States if it was not sold to an American company by September 15.
“I have set a date around September 15, when it will be closed in the United States,” he told reporters.
“It will close on September 15 unless Microsoft or someone else is able to buy it and make a deal.”
