Jaipur:
Amid the political crisis in Rajasthan, BJP State Unity Chairman Satish Poonia claimed that the Congressional government headed by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had caused “chaos and instability” in the state.
“They (Congress) are committing sins… they are blaming the BJP. The BJP has become an institution for them to blame and mislead people,” Poonia said.
Mr Gehlot wrote to Prime Minister Modi, alleging attempts to overthrow his government and appointed Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
He accused Mr. Shekhawat, other BJP leaders and some “over-ambitious leaders” of his own party of being involved in the alleged attempt to overthrow his government.
Rummaging in Congress, Mr Poonia said: “The party whose leaders are either released on bail or in jail talks about democracy.”
“But I think people too have now understood that the chaos, instability in this state started under the reign of Chief Minister Gehlot and that of Congress,” said the head of the BJP of Rajasthan.
The state sank into a political crisis when Sachin Pilot rebelled against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and was subsequently sacked as Chief Deputy Minister and Chairman of the State Unity of Congress.
