The central government has approved an annual plan worth Rs 574.16 crore for the work of the national highway in Jammu and Kashmir for 2020-2021, an official spokesman said on Saturday.
The main works included in the approved annual plan included the construction of 3.23 km of three overflights in Srinagar on NH-44 (Jammu-Srinagar highway) in Bemina, Sanatnagar and Nowgam with a crore of Rs 220.68, said the spokesperson.
Citing a communication from the center, he said that the Union’s Ministry of Road Transport and Motorways had requested the preparation of estimates for the works proposed in the approved annual plan, incorporating technical parameters and designs in accordance with codal provisions.
