An unidentified terrorist was killed, while another surrendered during a meeting with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, a defense spokesperson said.
A joint operation was launched by security forces in Noorpora, in the Awantipora region, based on contributions provided by the police, the army said.
While a terrorist was eliminated in the shooting, another ultra responded to the call for surrender.
“The terrorist, a resident of the Gulshanpora region, has been arrested,” he said.
The terrorist had been missing since September 25 this year, he added.
An AK rifle and other incriminating materials were recovered from the scene of the meeting, the spokesperson said.
