Tejashwi Yadav said RJD called for a CBI investigation.

Patna:

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for failing to meet the family of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide in Mumbai on June 14, and demanded a CBI investigation into the matter.

“An FIR has been registered by his father. We all want a fair investigation into the matter. RJD has requested a CBI investigation. We have met his father and sister. We are seeking justice for him. We are sad that Bihar CM does not did not meet Sushant Singh. Rajput’s family did not even express condolences. He did not even speak about the case to Maharashtra CM. Sushant brought laurels to Bihar. He should speak to Maharashtra CM and demand a CBI investigation, “Yadav told ANI.

An FIR had been registered against actor Rhea Chakraborty at Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna under various sections, including incitement to suicide following the complaint by Rajput’s father.

The RJD chief also said the chief minister was busy organizing virtual rallies as the state suffered from the double whammy of COVID-19 and flooding.

“Now is not the time for politics. However, all of his time is spent in virtual gatherings instead of meeting patients affected by flooding and COVID. Pura Bihar hi Bhagwan bharose hai (The plight of Bihar is in the hands of God.) We must not believe in the data. Disaster management service should be renamed “Ku-prabandhan” (mismanagement). It is not able to control the flood situation. Nitish Kumar only cares about his chair. He doesn’t care about the people of Bihar, “Mr. Yadav said.

According to the State Department of Disaster Management, as of Tuesday, 29,62,653 people have been affected and eight deaths have been reported due to flooding in 12 districts of Bihar.
