Arjun and Kayra, both students at Shri Ram School, created the Children’s Health Action Management Project (CHAMP). Through this, they hope to facilitate the transformation of children’s access to quality health care and health knowledge in the NCR of Delhi.

The kids started planning meticulously and started crowdfunding for their project. The money they collected would be used to set up health camps in schools for disadvantaged children. “The way things are, it looks like COVID-19 is here to stay for a long time. So we discussed and decided to enter phase II of our project, which is a crowdfunding campaign,” said Kayra during an interview with ANI.

On further discussing the campaign, she added: “We started an Instagram page and shared it with everyone. It helped us a lot and in three weeks we exceeded our target of Rs 250,000 and we ended up collecting 274,000 rupees. The money raised from the campaign will be used to set up health camps in schools for disadvantaged children. “

His cousin Arjun, while sharing his experience, added: “Under the leadership of our parents and a local NGO, we first reached a ”raen will basein southern Delhi last year. On our first visit, we were shocked to see children in dire condition with no shoes on, running noses, ragged clothes and they looked extremely hungry and destitute. This one visit changed something in us. Now was the time, we were determined to help children understand the basics of staying healthy. “

While Arjun plans to create a software application to store digital records of children’s medical conditions, Kyra will work on a health manual for students for the rest of 2020.
